I live in a south American country where a lot of people rides top end bikes that are really expensive,there is a high index of stolen bikes,not when you leave them alone,is when you are riding two persons in a motorcycle or a cab(taxi) with a gun or a knife etc
and they get advantage of your situation and steel your bike generally they are drug consumers,after they sell it for nothing
or just disassemble the bike and sell the parts.
I know this cultural phenomenon is part of "third world countries" and it´s almost impossible to stop it ......some times there is
more police in this roads because of the denouncements,,,,,,some times I have think to put a hidden low jack(it´s the device
to do a satellite tracking for cars)but it will need a battery and wont be easy to hidden
