I would really appreciate your help or pointing me into right direction as I am really new to bikes and i need to buy one.
Budget about 500-600 pounds
Riding every day from and to work about 4 miles one way on the road. Additionally I will ride every second week about 25 miles on the road.
I am quite toll 185 cm (6.1 ft), and quite heavy about 95kg (15 stones).
I would be riding with my backpack which in most cases will have laptop in it so I would say it will be around 7kg.
If someone could give me some gaudiness?
What brand to consider?
What kind of frame?
What kind or gears?
It would be really good if you could give me some example.
As a side question, is it possible to buy a bike which has really good gears, types, chain etc. (so really everything except frame) But with frame is not really light. Because with me being quite heavy and with my backpack I don’t think frame which is 2kg lighter would make a much difference, and from what I can see most of the cost on the bike seems to be going toward the frame? I might be misunderstanding the concept so please tell me off if I am wrong.

it seems from the thread title that you already narrowed your search to road bikes (how smart am i...) your budget is quite ok, the second decision you need to make is whether you want a rack or not, if you are okay with your backpack then you don't need one, this is important because not all road bikes have the necessary eyelets to install a rack, yes you are a bit misunderstood in relation to frame versus components, nowadays there isn't a direct relationship, both of them could be expensive or cheap,
