I would like to get some advice on buying a new mountain bike. I am currently looking into KONA & SPECIALIZED mountain bikes. I basically will be riding the bike on city streets and some trails. Im not sure if I will go with front or full suspension. I want to spend between $1000 - $2000 total with taxes.
Any tips, help, would be great.
On a side note, I searched " mountain bike forum " threw google and got this site, im new to this site and wanted to know if this is the best bike site out there or are there more good sites out, I just want to stick to one at this time.
If you are planning to ride on streets and some trails, why are you only considering a mountain bike? Unless you are doing rugged off-road riding, a hybrid or cyclecross bike would suit your neeeds. Mountain bikes, even with slick tires, are not nearly as good on streets as a road bike or hybrid. Check out the Specialized Crossroads or Trek 7x00 series.
