  1. Anyone know where to purchase this grease at a reasonable price or a larger quantity? My LBS sold me
a tube that was smaller than a toothpaste sample tube for $3.99. I searched all over the internet
    without success.

Try an auto parts store. Wheel bearing grease works fine. and you get a pound of the stuff for the
price of a sample tube in a bicycle shop.

  3. I'd like to know too. If you got a private reply, please let me know. This is the stuff that comes
stock in a King headset, and boy it's tenacious! I've seen boat trailer bearing grease that's close,
in answer to Jobst' comment, but I'd like to find a source for this too!

    Dear Jonathan,

    You may have luck at:

    mdt-products.combullshot.html

But I suspect that it's pricey stuff. Inspired names like that aren't cheap. You might want to
ponder what Evian water means when spelled backwards.

I'm heartened to learn that Bullshot is preferred "in the sport of world-class YoYo competition for
its outstanding qualities where high speed and low friction is a major consideration!"

Jobst Brandt will be relieved to know that Bullshot also "Allows no welding or ball-race black spots
and no metal to metal contact."

Apparently, the solution has been there all along for indexed headsets, which must have more in
common with yoyo's than we suspected.

However, I'm wavering. Is there any reason not to prefer the even more euphonious "Jonnisnot"
grease, which seems to cost three times as much as lowly Bullshot?

    Good luck,

    Carl Fogel
