I'm thinking of building a uni frame for my senior project then buying the necesary parts to complete the design. How hard would it be and do you think someone with a year of metalshop (one 50min class a day) in school could do it? I don't know what material i would use but from what I've found 6Al/4V Titanium would be a good choice although hard to work. I just want to build a simple frame but one I could ride for a while. I mean a uni is just a couple pieces welded together. Anyone have experience or anything else they want to share with me please do.
There are some designs that are extremely easy to build. Here's a link to a frame that I built out of old bicycle parts. It actually rides better and tracks straighter than my Yuni MUni🙂
