That's an interesting question. I've always thought the essence of a custom unicycle is being able to choose your own parts. 🙂
My custom muni has: - 24 x 3" Nokian Gazzaloddi tyre - 24" Alex DX-32 rim - DT Swiss spokes - Profile hub - Profile 145mm cranks - Kona JackSh*t pedals (upgrading to Odyssey Twisted Pro sealed ones with stronger axle) - Custom frame made from 4130 with machined bearing holders powder coated yellow - Seatpost clamp of unknown brand - KH seat and seatpost - Will soon have a Magura HS-33 brake with extra-grippy pads made by a guy I know for about $20.
'A circus clown is just a carny who's too stupid to flip a ride switch on and off. Now, you take a circus clown, roll him on the barn floor, kick him in the head a couple hundred times, and what have you got?' - Hank Hill
Yep, a good find hey! He's some sort of engineer and has access to the right equipment. Lots of the local and not-so-local bike trials riders use his pads and claim that they're significantly better than the standard ones. And he only charges $20!
