  1. Hello,

Does anyone know any good bike shops in Buffalo New York. I'm going to a hockey game there and wanted to check out a few bike shops. Im shopping for a saddle for my road bike. aweb site would be helpfull. I do not seem able to google anything usefull.

  2. I visit Buffalo frequently and the four shops that would be of interest to the serious road cyclist are:

Hadlebars on Englewood Ave. (http://handlebarscc.com), which carries a pretty wide assortment, better than their website would indicate. Quite friendly and helpful, IMO. It is tucked away in a residental area not far from the UB south campus, so use a map.

Not far from Handlebars is Shickluna on Hertel Ave (http://www.shicklunabikes.com). Not as much stuff but carries Felt, Giant and Specialized and sponsors a team.

Out in the eastern suburb of Lancaster is Tom's on Walden Ave. Seemed to be a really high end boutique sort of place (e.g lots of Gurus tricked out in high end groups).

Finally there is Campus Wheelworks at 744 Elmwood which has less road stuff and their main brand is Bianchi.

Hope you have tickets for the game - the Sabres are selling out just about every game this year.

    Joe
