We have green bicycle in among our collection. It appears to fold and unfold
and suchlike, and the word 'Brompton' on the main tube probably identifies
it.
I'm servicing it - this time, I'm replacing the cables + outers. Brompton
are very insistent that you use the correct length cables - to within 2mm.
However they aren't very good at telling you what those correct lengths are
:-(
It appears that they made various sizes of frame over the years -
specifically a long and a short wheelbase version.
How can I tell which one I've got? How long should the cables (well,
probably the outers) be?
(It's an L3 purchased 3 or 4 years ago. But I've got in my hand what claims
to be a suitable gear cable, and it's too short :-( )
