  1. I have had my Brompton for about 18 months now.I told you about it before
remember ? it's red and has 6x gears. But over the last month the folding
pedal started to creak and make scraping noises.I took it off and removed
the oil seals, cleaned the sand out, packed it with lithium grease, and it
was ok for a few weeks but now it has started again.and it was annoying to
have this clicked- click twice on every revolution. So now I have ordered a
new pedal £30.I know that you can buy the bearing separate, but it is not
possible to remove the old bearing without a workshop and the right tools,
as the metal is swaged over the bearing. Now why don't Brompton make it
simple to remove with out all this bother and expense. Apart from that I
think it is a well designed bike. cas
