I saw a broken IRD Blackbird Comp drop bar at a shop. The break was a
few centimeters from the edge of the stem, at the inboard end of the
wing. The wing section didn't very thick to me, certainly appeared
narrower than the 24 mm diameter of a normal round handlebar. Dunno
about the wall thickness.

Anyone else seen any broken bars with the new "airfoil" top section?

I haven't, but I've seen broken round bars.
