  1. My 15 year old son broke his collar bone 10/24/2003 (approx 3 weeks). He is attending swim team
    practice... Limited to kick board....

The x-ray showed no displacement but a complete break did occur....

His doc says 4-6 wks... before use....

Any warnings regarding swimming/rehab? Any strokes to avoid.. etc....

  2. Any stroke will place stress on the pectoral girdle, which the clavicle is a part of. surely the
doctor would have made a recommendation regarding this? the good news is that fractures of the
clavicle, providing they're not too drastic heal pretty quickly. Again, something like this, i would
definately speak to a doctor, or even a PT or AT at a stretch.
