Not a single professional sport in the any of the Westernized
industrialized nations of this world have a chance of being drug-free
because the larger cultures in which they exist are also full of
illegal drug use. After all, it is the much, much lesser of offenses to
break the rules of a sports governing body than to break the laws of a
government.
Lafferty is intelligent enough to realize this. I think his real issue
is that deep down inside, he just doesn't like bike racing.
