Hi guys, this is the first time I've posted to this group. I was recently dx'd with type 2 diabetes
and had a question. Does anyone know what would cause someone's breath to smell like
chlorine/bleach? I've had some really strange lab results lately (if the results would be helpful,
let me know and I'll post them)and take Lipitor and Glucophage, but the breat-thing started before I
began taking those meds. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Angel

I haven't heard of anything regarding chlorine/bleach breath. I am too familiar with acetone breath
though. If your breath smells like fingernail polish remover, or if it smells sickly sweet, then you
probably have a problem. In my case, whenever I have that smell on my breath I am going into
ketoacidosis. You may want to check your urine for ketones, and obviously contact your doctor. When
I read the chlorine/bleach, I thought that perhaps it may really be more of an acetone smell. Take
care. Steph"Angela Arnold" <[email hidden]> wrote in message
