Break Lead Times Deceptive

Well, how do you propose they measure time gaps (ie., instead of actually measuring it from a fixed
location)? Maybe they could use some sort of super-complicated linear interpolation method which
would give a value for the actual time gap at that exact second on the road. Of coarse the time gaps
are really just an estimate anyway, because they assume that both groups will maintain their current
speed, which as we all know, is an unsound assumption given the best riders in the world racing up
the Pyrenees.

I guess by GPS.

Take the position of moto 1 at a certain timepoint. After that, wait till moto 2 is at the same
position and measure the time distance.

Of course, this proces is done on a continuous base.
