  1. Hi Guys-

I am hoping someone can help me solve a (hopefully) minor problem. My front derailleur (Dura-Ace) is braze-on and the two bolts that attach the hanger to the frame (carbon, Trek) have stripped. I am wondering what I shoudl do about it - should I LocTite the bolts? Should I switch to clamp-on? Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!
    Carlo

  2. 4 Options:
1] Just the threads on the bolts have stripped, replace the bolts.
2] The threads on the hangar bosses have stripped, use a clamp on derailleur.
3] The threads on the hangar bosses have stripped, retap the bosses to have a slightly larger diameter thread and then rebolt the derailleur on with larger bolts (larger thread, same head size - might have to machine the heads to be correct size).
4] Contact Trek, perhaps they have a standard solution to this problem.
