I had a big naughty lunch yesterday, (inlcuded a piece of cheescake, pineappple flan, and some cookies.) and decided to go for a 60km ride to punish myself.
Throughout the ride, I felt really sluggish and really noticed it when I couldn't even draft a cylist that passed me on my home stretch (last 2 miles) at 21mph.
I got home and just put it down to a bad ride and too much food.
This morning, I went to put my bike away and found it hard to move the bike, I realised that the rear brakes were touching and was actually stuck. I took it to my LBS (since the bike is only 2 months old)
Turns out that my sweat has been coroding my rear brake cable, causing the brakes to stick. This would account for my "sluggish ride"
Is this type of corrosion common? What can be done about it.
