Hi all. My brakeing eludes me, I wish I knew why. The bike in question is a Trek 8000 with the regular LX calipers. The brakes have been recently bled by the shop; I have 'burped' the brake resovoir myself just in case but I didn't even see any bubbles whatsoever; there is at least a millimeter of brake material on the present brake pads & I have cleaned the rotors many times over, yet there is still inadequate stopping power. & yes, I have screwed the brake lever adjusting screw in as far as it will go. What have I missed?

Presuming the problem is with only ONE of the two calipers, then isolate the problem by swapping the front caliper with the rear caliper to see if the problem migrates with the caliper ...
BTW. Are you certain the correct type of "brake" fluid was used?

Thanks anyway but i seem to have solved the problem with a thorough clean & new set of brake pads. Now seems like it was a big drama for no good reason. Aah well live & learn!
