brake shot!!

Check the alignment of the brakes - make sure they're not toed in or out.

Clean the rim and pad with a little scotch-brite and some alcohol

Some new pads squeak

Other than that, sometimes pads are just mismatched to rims and the squealing is inevitable. It usually goes away as the pads wear into the rim, so just bear with it for a while. If it doesn't go away, you're stuck with getting new pads to eliminate the noise - I'd try a different manufacturer.

Brake pads should be toed in at the end closer to the front of the bike. That means anterior end of the pad will sit closer to the rim than the posterior end of the pad. The anterior end will contact the rim first when you squeeze the brakes and the rest of the pad will follow as the brake arms flex and the pads compress a little.

If the posterior end of the pads is toed in, when the pads hit the rim the brake arms will flex, moving the pad away from the rim. You will squeeze harder because you're not slowing down much, and this will cause the brakes to alternately grab and let go which will squeal like the dickens!
