I would appreciate some help with a brake caliper question.
I am assembling a replacement single speed bike, and the fork requires short reach calipers. Am
using Scott AT-3 bars and mountain style canti brake levers.
My problem stems from the fact that my bikes are set up with the right brake lever controlling the
front caliper. On my old SS, I used an older Dia Compe side-pull caliper, which received the cable
on the left (port) side. Unfortunately, this caliper is long reach and extends too far down my new
fork. Using a short reach caliper with cabling on the right side results in a poor cable routing.
So, my question is whether there exists a short reach, side pull front brake caliper which accepts
cable on the left side. Would prefer single pivot brakes.
TIA John
