  1. I tried to remove the bottom bracket from my son's carrera banshee, and may have stripped some of the threads on the frame side in the process.

Is it possible to get a fresh bottom bracket 'thread set' fitted into the frame?, or what other options might be possible?

Thanks for reading this, hope you can advise me!

If it's not too bad,it may be able to be clenaned up. If it's english,it could be rethreaded to Italian. Otherwise, maybe you can loctite or epoxy it in. I don't know how it's possible to be so hamfisted as to strip BB threads when removing one. That takes the dumbazzery prize.
