Bottom Bracket Installation

1) Not required,but the ARs insist it is. 2) Very important if you don't know what you are doing and have to ask. 3) If It's an Italian frame it is absolutely imperative that you soak it in extra virgin olive oil.

I'm not sure what an AR is, but I think I will go ahead and make this my first bb installation along with the help of my trusted friend/wrench who does all of my bike work for me. Part of my intention in buying a naked frame is to finally get experience putting a bike together. Fortunately, I got a good enough deal on it from ebay that I'm willing to chance my own hand at working it.

I think boudreaux must've been refering to Anal Retentives. I don't think it'd be that expensive to have a good shop install your BB and headset. If you have reservations about doing it yourself, that'd be your safest bet.

After soaking in extra virgin olive oil, try serving your frame with a vinaigrette salad and a nice Chianti... Simply delicious!
