On Monday 28Th May, I climbed Place Fell & Hallin Fell from Howtown. I
arrived back at the car parked at the Church above the Howtown Hotel,
in the quarry area. I believe the area is called Howtown Hause. I took
my boots off once inside the car, & did something I never have done
before, put them outside the car. I shut the door, & got changed. I
was distracted by the kids in the car, & then drove off to my hotel
for the night.
It was only next day when I arrived back home, I realised I had left
the boots by the car. I rang the Howtown Hotel, to see if anyone could
kindly check to see if they were there. The lady I spoke to had
actually seen them on her way into work & assumed they belonged to the
group of people there. When she went back they had disappeared.
The boots are Scarpa Nepal grey & are about 3 months old, they had a
pair Blacks gaiters (Blue) attached to them & my socks inside them
I am offering a reward to anyone who may have them or know where they
are. Please get in touch
Hallin fell was my 200th Wainwright in passing.
