I have been looking to by a new bike. I just finished my first year of serious cycling, about 4000 miles on a 2001 Bianchi San Remo, and want to start racing this summer. Obviously this will require a new bike. I am looking at the BMC Road Racer SL01, BMC Streetfire, Specialized Tarmac Comp and Felt F4. Has anyone ridden one or more of these? Does one stand out immensely above the rest? Thanks

Hey, well, I don't know much about bikes as I've only been riding for a little over 9 months. I started w/ a specialized (entry level for $800)... I put over 5400 miles on it b4 I totaled it in a crash a few weeks back. I just bought a Scott Cr1 pro and totally love it... it's very smooth (went from aluminum to full carbon) and responds excellent to every movement you think about... I've been told it's a classic race bike... my lbs says that w/ scott, you get more for your money than w/ other companies.... such as w/ bianchi... to go full carbon, it's a lot more than w/ scott... though best advise: test ride them all against each other and go w/ what fits you the best and feels the best... in case of a tie... which one is cooler?😄
