anyone know where i can order some blank or custom running
numbers? basically i just need the tear resistant material.

Isn't it just Tyvek? There are places you can buy it by the
yard, I found a few with a Google search on tyvek yardage.
It's also possible that a larger fabric store would carry
it; or a sports store that sells things for making kites
(kites were mentioned on one Tyvek site). Or maybe you can
buy some from a local construction company -- it's also
