I don't have a pool, but I have two fish ponds. The quantity
of algae is directly linked to the amount of sun and the
temperature. Water temp goes down, so does the algae. Before
all my plants have a chance to cover half the ponds, the
algae is widespread. However, in my case, it's green and
good. Have you tried covering the pool from maybe 10
a.m. to 2 or 3? And lowering the temperature a bit?
