The UCI attempted to take over racing instead of trying to work for the riders and racing. That [censored] the promoters and riders both. So now the UCI, the major promoter - ASO and the riders are all at odds.
If they could retain their solidarity the riders could put it all back together again but the real problem is that the UCI has diss'd the riders one time too often and ASO is run by morons who are about to pull the entire house of cards down around their own heads.
Oh, the usual, nothing. There's way to much drama in Pro-Cycling. Everyone involved seem unable to get enough of it. Drama Junkies they are. If the Pro-Tour/UCI/ASO acted like professionals they'd all suffer DQ withdrawal. I like my CX. It's simple. The mud sling'in is real mud. And here in the U.S. you typically don't have to [censored] non-racers to have a race (street/road closures)
