    Hi

    Planning on riding Birmingham to Stranraer in April. The slog up the side of the M6 looks a bit uninspiring. Anyone know a route which won't add too much distance, but will allow me to escape from dual carriageways and A roads ?

    Also keen to hear any good places to stay, aiming at 70 - 80 miles per day over 4 days.
