I'm looking for somewhere to bike with my wife near Richmond Virginia. She hates traffic and we're currently looking at going road biking in the Nothern Neck near Reedville etc. Any other suggestions? Rail trails? It seems like Ahsland might be popular but I don't know any routes and we ride hybrids so some roads might not be appropriate.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Hey Bob,
I'm not from Richmond, but if you ever make it to N. Virginia/Arlington area, I can tell you some great bike trails to go on. There's the WOD which is 44 miles one way and paved, the C&O Canal which is 138 miles one way dirt, and several other trails along the Potomac. Feel free to drop me a line if you come up this way.
