  1. Just passing this on ... we were told by friends not to bike in Paris and a well known travel
    guidebook also suggests that we do not bike in Paris. Wrong! We spent one week in Paris and loved
    biking around. There are bus lanes/bike lanes on all the major streets and they are marked as such.
    On many streets there are separate bike paths as well. Biking in Paris is considerably faster than
    taking a car and certainly more scenic than using the Metro. Take your bike to Paris.
