My husband and I are moving to Denia, Spain for about 5 months. We are both serious cyclists/triathletes and have been planning on taking our bikes along. But recently we have been told that it would be easier to buy a bike there. I have been searching on-line for a bike shop in Denia and have been unsuccessful. I do not know a ton about biking conditions in Spain and would love to get any advice!! Please let me know what you think about taking a bike or buying a bike there.
Thanks!!!

Please don't.
It is well known that american bikes are a lot more expensive in Europe than in the US if you think that cannondales for instance are rather expensive check prices there first before you go.
I'd suggest to bring yours to avoid unpleasant experiences. At the end I am pretty sure it won't be too hard to find someone should you decide to retire your bike for a fair deal in pesetas.Last Summer I sold one of my commuters to a lady going back home in Amsterdam. 😄
