  1. Hello,
1st post to this forum. Question about the Boston area. My wife is thinking about grad school at UMASS-Boston and I was wondering what are some good areas to live that aren't to far from that area but also have some good open roads to ride on. I don't want to have to drive somewhere to start riding! I was thinking for a short commute for her, somewhere along 93 South toward Briantree?. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, Sheridan

SouthEast - Canton, Sharon or Easton.

West - Arlington, Newton, Needham, Lexington, Dover

  3. I live in Weymouth which is next to Braintree. From both of these towns you can access some good roads along South Shore towns like Cohasset, Hingham, Scituate, Marshfield, Plymouth, all the way down to the Cape.

Pick up a bike map from bikemaps.combikemaps.com. They have these at local bike shops as well. They're great for mapping out rides. The Eastern Massachusetts Map covers this area.
    Good Luck
