Look for Saturn quite near the Moon tonight. They are high in the south
at nightfall. Saturn looks like a bright star just to the southeast of
the Moon. The Moon moves even closer to Saturn as they drop down the
western sky later on.

It's usually not wise to get too close to a lion, but tonight, the Moon
does just that. It creeps up on Regulus, the star that represents the
"heart" of Leo. From the western states, the Moon will cover up the star
just before they set tomorrow morning.

The Moon closes in on one of the brightest stars in the sky tonight:
Spica, the leading light of Virgo, the virgin. The star is to the lower
left of the Moon at nightfall.

Spica, the brightest star of Virgo, leads the brilliant Moon across the
southern sky tonight. Spica stands a little above the Moon at nightfall.
The gap will grow larger in the wee hours of tomorrow morning as the
Moon moves farther from Spica.
