  1. There seems to be a rumble on the streets going on at the moment, with a few skateboarders declaring war on BMXers and other street users. A recent article in a US skateboard mag "Thrasher" reckoned that four wheels do not and should not mix with two wheels. Ok, we're mountain bikers, but we still ride on the street and have two wheels... just try to keep your cool if you come across any skaters stupid enough to take on board such a selfish attitude.

It's hard enough to get any decent street riding in anyway, what with police, security guards and stroppy passers-by. I can't get my head around why some skaters, who suffer similar abuse to BMXers and mountain bikers, would want to get aggro with people who are just caning the same urban stuff.

I thought the bike/board gap was bridged years ago - i've got many friends who skate , and none of them are draft enough to take on this. In fact, the majority of skaters will probably ignore this narrow minded on street riding anyway. We should ignore anyone who thinks the streets are for one disclipline only - we're all just out to get our riding/boarding fix and have a laugh, surely.
