Shrine Pass is a fairly sedate fwd road from the top of Vail Pass-depending on how well you do at
altitude. The Vail Pass bike path is a stout workout (Going UP!), but its paved. Riding from Vail to
the top of Shrine would be technicaly easy but aerobicaly, um, meaningful.Shawn

beginner, stick to cruising around downtown. Thin air and undeveloped legs/skills can make for
disaster in the dirt up there.JD
