I did something rash and maybe dumb this Saturday. I bought a BikeE. It may be an early version - I got it cheap.
It seems to be a commuter and not a club rider or climber. Anyway it definitely needs some help. The first thing I added was a speedometer and cadence meter. I think the next thing is high pressure tires.
Any suggestions from the group? It has 20X1.75 and 16X1.75 now. I'm looking for low rolling resistance.
I figure I'll keep it for awhile to develop my recumbent muscles before upgrading to a real recumbent.

I've ridden mine about three years now ( approx 2000 miles a year here in ther northeast). I found using the 1.35 Primo Comets really helped performance, although it is no racer :-). Enjoy it.

Try putting a 47-406 Tioga Comp Pool on the back and 53-305 Schwalbe City Jet on the front. These tires have low rolling resistance, but also offer the advantages of wider tires on poor paved surfaces, thereby increasing performance while retaining utility.
