Seems like most folks got the word. By 10 AM only about 40 people had shown up expecting to ride -
around 0.5% of the registered riders.

FWIW, WABA would have gone ahead with the ride, perhaps in a shortened form, if the city hadn't
pulled the permits. No problems on my block, but they're still citing about 87,000 customers without
power, and only spotty improvements since yesterday.

But all in all it's a pretty nice day for late September, and I've seen a lot of people who look as
if they had planned to do this event out Just Riding Around instead. Sadly, I've been hacking away
at downed tree limbs until about now - stil might get a little spin in before dark though...
