Pecco's in the market on Murray Street is close by. They have alot of stock, tend to have good
prices, buy closeouts of older stock, but carry their own line of bikes that are inexpensive but not
    loved by everyone.

A store that just took over a recent closing is called Cycle Logik. Its further away on Richmond
Road and beside a terrrific outdoor gear store called the Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC). The co-op
also has excellent deals on bike gear (no bikes)

Full Cycle on St. Laurent has very knowledgable staff. Again a car ride away and nothing
    else near by.

Also if you go to MEC and Cycle Logik check out Bushtukah also on Richmond Road. They are a large
outdorr gear store that now carries a large selection of bikes and bike gear.

  3. To buy a bike? Or to buy parts? You may want to try:
    1) Pecco's in Hull (I like the Hull store better than Ottawa store). peccos.compeccos.com Pecco's
has its own Al or Ti frames/bikes.
    2) Cyclo-Sportif G.M. Bertrand (new Bertrand on Laval street in Hull)
    pages.infinit.netbertrand
    G.M. Bertrand also builds frames.
    3) Old Bertrand also in Hull has lots of old stocks (if you can talk them into letting you browsing
    their storage).
    4) Full Cycle on St. Laurent blvd. in Ottawa is good too.

    Cheers, Minh

  4. You might also want to subscribe to and ask on the Icebike list
users.rcn.comicebikelist.htm. Lots of people from Ottawa on there.
