  1. anyone got any ideas for standing a bike up (easily and relatively
    cheaply)...

only solution i have been able to find is
    http://www.deanwoods.com.au/store/prod606.htm

    Note:
i store the bike inside the house
I dont want a work stand
I dont want to hang the bike off the wall
i just wanna keep it off the wall (and carpet) if possible

I have a gravity rack stand, which leans against the wall and holds 2
bikes very neatly. I haven't been able to find it on the 'net anymore
though, maybe they went broke? It was a bit like this one :

    http://www.organize-everything.com/gravbikracwa.html

but a bloke in Sydney was making them, cost about $180 from memory, inc
    shipping, 4 years ago.

  3. I couldn't find the one I have anywhere anymore, but these are
    available :

    http://www.ratesaver.com.au/products/B000077CPK/Racor_PLB_2R_Gravity_Bike_Rack.html

and they're the same thing, just a bit different in colour etc, same
concept. They work really well for inside the house storage

I have always fancied a modification of the old clothes hoist that
used to hang from the ceiling from a couple of pulleys. Should work
with my 12ft + ceilings - no good with 8ft ceilings but.
