Can you go to a store and ride a couple sizes? Personally I always go a
little small on frames.

i just tried the on-line calculator at this page, and it gave me the
answer i expected (i seem to take a 56cm road bike). they have hardtail
and full suspension size calculators as well ... but i haven't tried
comparing the result to my mountain bike fit.
of course with a lot of bikes just coming in small/medium/large - and
having more varied geometries - i'm not sure how close a calculator can
nail it.

FWIW, the calculator tells me:
Your Overall Reach is :: 70.675cm Center-to-Center
Your Frame Size is :: 18in OR 19in Center-to-Top / 18in Center-to-Center
Your Recommended Saddle Height is :: 75.13cm
and the "Large" Klein Attitude I bought is closer to that than the Medium
or Extra Large.
I think I might try their recommended saddle height ... been having some
trouble deciding on (and keeping) my optimum. I had some trouble on a
climb yesterday, and I think part of it was that my seat had crept back to
being too low.
