Hi there,I just bought a roadbike,what shoes can I buy since I am use to flatfom pedals(MTB) for years.I have notice road bike shoes have cleats.Is it easy to remove your shoe on the pedal? thanks. joel.

It's actually easier to get your foot off faster using clipless pedals (the ones that clip in, confusing, I know) than toe clips (the ones with a cage you put your foot in, and then pull the strap tight). The majority of shoes are compatible with the majority of pedals and there are also adapters for a lot of the remaining ones. I think the most common is the three-hole pattern cleat and shoe. A good place to start is to talk to the people at your lbs and ask what they recommend. I think spd is super common, as far as pedal system for beginners and a lot of people, my knees need more float than spd's offer. Also with spd you should have a choice of a bunch of different shoes.
