I'm trying to take advantage of off-season prices to fill out on some of my equipment needs and new
bike shoes are on my list.
My idea of the perfect bike shoe would be one that has rubber "knobbies" of a size sufficient to
"hide" a SPD cleat, it would be stiff enough to be a good road shoe, but as comfortable as a tennis
shoe. And it would come in sizes for wide feet with a rounded nose (e.g. without "pointy" toes).
Anyone have any suggestions?

They're not inexpensive, but Don Lamson (formerly of Lamson Design) is now building shoes for an
