any MBR's in the Fareham / Portsmouth area on here ?

i need some repairs done and was wondering if anyone had any good cycle repair specialists they go to.

I've Wheel2wheel in Lee-on-Solent - recommended ?

there's also Velocity and Cycle World in North end , Pompey. Any good ?

i'm wanting attention on XTR stuff so i'm looking for good mechanics, not cheap and cheerful.

I was tempted to avoid Halfords and Action Bikes but is this wrong, are they what i'm after ?

regards
Simon

What's an MBR. (Sorry for being thick).

I've used 'em before and would use them again. It's run by real cyclists
with a road focus. They'll also hire you a bike while they fix yours but
this is utilitarian service is only really useful to carfree zealots.

Dunno.

For cheap but good, I'd recommend Portswood Cycles in Fareham
(Bishopsfield Road). They replaced a spoke, trued a wheel, replaced a
headset and did general bike shop tweaks for £30 (IIRC) for me last year.

You're probably right with Halfords. Action Bikes always seem clued up
when I pop in for essentials even though their new bike stock is limited.

I ride past this shop every day - haven't worked out where the
entrance is yet though. Worth a browse?

I used the branch in Portswood a few times, they seemed very
competent. But that was All A Long Time Ago :)
