Bike Rack for Truck

I use a 4 bike Outback model from [censored]'s Sports. It's a hitch mounted unit, Thule and others make versions as well. It fits solidly into the 2" hitch on my F150. I also have a tonneau cover and have no problem using it with the rack in place. Ran me about $90.

I don't have a hitch now but have kind of ruled that out anyway. I would prefer something above bed. Thanks for the reply though.

I have a Yakima roof rack on my ranger super cab. I have the Q extenders installed to push the rear bar to the back of the cab. I have 2 fork mounts on the back bar. The bikes mount sort of vertical, rear wheel in the bed, front fork mounted to the rack. The front bar on the rack mounts the fairing.
This setup is also handy for strapping down long boards (have the tail gate up and angle them over the cab) it is a great tie down spot.
