  1. I recently acquired a used 2006 Specialized Allez Sport. Spinning the rear wheel on my bike stand, it sounds a bit noisy to me, so I am thinking I should replace the wheel bearings. Does anyone know if the bearings are in a race and cup, or are they sealed? Or, where can I find out? The wheel axel is a Shimano 105.

  2. They are cup and cone. Be careful removing the cap. It is very easy to distort it, making it so that you cannot reuse it.
