I realized my newest bike is worth more than my old truck. Anyone take
out any kind of insurance on their bike? I'm pondering coverage for
theft, or in case some fool in an auto crashes me.

Insurance isn't a bad idea. I have my P3 and race wheels ZIPP 404s & 909s
covered. What you want to do is add it to your home policy as a rider to the
contract otherwise it will just get the base bike coverage which has
maximums. This way you will get full replacement cost (make sure you ask for
it) for a very small deductable. If some fool crashes you in an auto crash
and you survive, his/her insurance will cover the damage. If while
transporting your bike in your car and you are in a crash and the bike gets
damaged your auto insurance should cover it. If the cost is high (I pay
about $200.00 per full year) consider coverage during the riding season. The
above applies in Canada the rules maybe different elsewhere."Eric" <[email hidden]> wrote in message
