  1. Hi all,
Has anyone seen the new range unveiled today by bike hut? I’m thinking of upgrading my wheels and the bike hut ones seem attractively priced but untested – any ideas about their quality
    Thanks

Bike hut? Is that the Halfords store in store? If so the wheels are
attractively priced and good value for money. You can pay more for better
built wheels but mine are still doing me fine..

Not next to a pair of merlin cycle's wheels they aren't. A pair of wheels
with deore hubs are £50, and with XT, £80. And they're handbuilt. Not made
with [censored] bits either - mavic rims and DT swiss spokes.

I figured that 60 quid for a pair of handbuilt D521 (or therabouts) on LX
with stainless double butted spokes was a good value purchase when I got
mine. That seems comparable. As I could walk in and get them, it is a bit
more convenient than finding Merlin Cycles. So I stand by my comments which
    yours do not contradict.

The only gripe about the wheelbuild was that the rear wheel valve hole is in
    the wrong place.

Obviously there are good value deals in more than one place.
