Bike fitting in Toronto

Hard to say who's the best.

I've also had La bicicletta highly recommended to me, but I was quite disappointed with the guy who did it when I tried them out as well.

The best bike fit in the GTA area is by echelonsport. I'm in the Brampton club and one of the guys I ride with told me about them. Was told they specialize in women's fittings and hard to fit clients. They provide the only MD involved professional fitting in the GTA and Golden Horseshoe area that I know of. It was not cheap, but it ended up being the best money I have spent on the bike. I wish I had it done when I first started riding. I have no discomfort anymore and I feel more powerful and a lot faster on the bike. The owner has raced at the UCI continental level in Europe and the States and the doctor has advanced SICI fitter and USA Cycling training and is a cyclist himself. The fitting lasts approx. 3 hours and includes an interview, physical assessment and they properly measure and setup everything from your cleats and shoes on up. When I got fit they did not use a Retul or anything, but they did use lasers and have a portable motion capture system on their iPad. I was told the Retul is a fancy measuring device that just speeds up the process if you have a piece called the wand. It is useless if the person using it does not know what they are looking at or what you should look like ideally. I talked to the local shops and they charge $100 for a basic fit you could do at home by yourself. A total rip off!! If interested, contact [email hidden] in Toronto.
