I found this forum quite informative, amusing at times and a great way to share ideas or solve problems. Perhaps it will also be meaningful (specially since we're all sharing technical expertise and experiences) if a little "biking" background can be shared. I'll start.
Got hooked on the bike: 1988
Inspiration from: I picked up a copy of Bicycling Magazine August 1988 with Greg Lemond on the cover with his comeback win of the Tour De France by just 8 seconds over Laurent Fignon.
First Serious bike ever owned: 1989 Custom made Tange Steel Roadie with Shimano Ultegra/105 7-speed components.
Current Ride: Giant TCR w/ 2003-2004 Record Grouppo
Others: A DIY person, can build & true a wheel; rides occassional criterium races, occassional century. I am a climber and a decent sprinter but i really suck against the clock.
