Just curious... has anyone encountered this situation?
I ride frequently with my wife on a morning ride where we draft each other through a short tunnel. On the other side of the tunnel we each check our computers to compare our MAX speed.
My wife's readout has shown 78mph and 93mph lately. (ok, she's fast....but not that fast)
We know this is not her true MPH speed, but could it be the cadence from my pedals???
I have a wired Cateye Astrale (with cadence) and she has a wireless computer, with the sensor on the front fork. Could my magnet be affecting her wireless readout? (It doesn't affect her distances or average speeds.)
The signals from my HRM are picked up by my Vetta computer if I'm holding it within about 30cm, and produce some funny speeds when I'm stationary.

It's remotely possible, I suppose, but does her comp read normally if she goes through the tunnel alone? If the readings are bogus on a solo run, then it's more likely there's a buried utility conduit that's at fault.

Your system being wired is closed. There can be no interferrence there.
My old Cateye Micro is closed and yet I've found that the cadence signal was bleeding into the wheel signal. I kept wondering why it kept telling me I was going 240mph! That stopped when I moved the cadence sensor out of range. Maybe it's time for me to get a bike computer from this decade.
