  1. Hi Everyone,

I am searching for a new bike computer. Must have option for cadence.
Have narrowed my search down to Garmin Edge 305, Forerunner 305 (since
I heard that the Edge 305 cadence/speed sensor works for the Forerunner
as well) and the CycloSport HAC 4 Plus. None of these are cheap, so I
any of you care to share their experience with any of these, or have
    suggestions for any other units....

The main complaint I would have about the Garmin products are the
relatively limited battery life. At the same time, having GPS
capabilities may be neat. Not sure I would need it though, for the
units don't store/display maps. You can overlay the GPS data on a map
on your PC or online, but I'd say one could get away with plotting the
tour profile without a map (I think the HAC 4 let's you do that, too,
although I haven't found a lot of info about this unit). The HAC 4
supposedly does a pretty good approximation of the power expenditure.

    Any ideas/suggestions/experience anybody?

    Thanks,
    Michael

Not sure about the ones you listed, but I've got my eye on this one:
